if u vandalize a mailbox in the state of florida what is the legal consequence?

The most likely charge would be that of Criminal Mischief. That charge could be a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the amount of property damage that was caused.

Depending on your prior record, you may be eligible for a pretrial diversion program (whereby the charge might be dismissed). Otherwise, you are probably looking at some form of a probationary sentence with a condition of paying restitution to the victim.

Mailboxes are considered federal property, and federal law (Title 18, United States Code, Section 1705), makes it a crime to vandalize them (or to injure, deface or destroy any mail deposited in them). Violators can be fined up to $250,000, or imprisoned for up to three years, for each act of vandalism.
