Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

I was arrested several years ago for a DUI, but the case was dropped to a reckless driving with adjudication withheld. I now have to get fingerprint background checked for a job. What will show up on the fingerprint background check?...the arrest as DUI?...the reckless driving with adjudication withheld?

Also, I plan on getting it expunged and I realize that won't remove it from FBI databases...so what will it do?

I always suggest purchasing your own background check so you can personally see what is there. Most likely it will show the DUI arrest and a final disposition to a Reckless Driving.

Most people can't read a background check and understand it which is why I suggest you purchase and study it yourself to address any employer concerns.

When you expunge or seal a record you only wipe out the public information. Private companies that hadle background checks will still show your charges. You have to invivually go through those companys and request to have your record removed.

The FBI record based on my understanding will remain regardless of what you do but I have not had a client willing to address the issue.
