Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

7th year anniversay present was mistress knocking on my door

For our 7th year wedding anniversay present, my husband's mistress showed up at the door. Turns out he has been having an apartment with her secretly and paying to support her and her kids for the past 4 1/2 years while married to me, on his mothers credit with her approval, she even bought him a brand new car for xmas.

We do not have any children together however I am the parent of a disabled child who I am caretaker of. During the marriage he has not been able to hold down a job longer than 2 months and has not worked in 6 years however we have lived in his mother's second home and I have been the only one working steadly and pay her monthly rent which includes all bills.

He left with the homewrecker and now is demanding that I leave his mother's house so he can move in with her and her 2 illegitimate kids otherwise his mother is going to sell the house to get me and my disabled child out one way or another. I am deathly afraid that I will be tossed into the street and be homeless as I have been laid off from my job and currently waiting on unemployment benefits. I can't afford to put a security and deposit on a new place that quickly and need at least 6 months to get myself together while looking for work.

Thank you in advance for any type of assistance.

Legally, his mother would have to bring an eviction action against you.

By any chance are these his children? You have rights and certainly entitled to compensation of some type in the way of alimony. the disabled child is not his responsibility and therefore you wouild have to look to the father of that child for help and support. If you have your evidence and can prove what you say, I am sure a judge will award you alimony of some type. As to the house, it does not belong to you and sadly the mother in law can evict you.
