Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am 19 years old, and I work a part time job in Orlando Florida. I want to file for custody of my 10 year brother who also resides in Orlando, Florida. My father the current custody is extremely verbally abusive. My father currently on the list for deportation, I am a lawful alien and my brother is an American citizen. Can I obtain custody for my brother and what are the steps to do so?

You can file for custody of your brother if he is suffering from abuse and/or neglect, but it really isn't something you should do without a lawyer. These cases can be complicated and technical, and you shouldn't risk your brother's custody by doing this on your own. Contact a family law attorney in your area.
