I asked the question "I have a post separation support judgment in NC, I want to establish it in Florida where I live. Would my judgment adopt the 20 year statue of limitation for judgment collection?
I was given the answer "yes, if domesticated."
What does "domesticated" mean?

A certified copy of the NC judgment must be filed in Florida pursuant to the Domestication Statute. It is then treated as a Florida Judgment. I handle Collection of Judgment in my Law Practice. Good luck,
