My child has graduated from high school and turns 18 on January 2nd 2012. Do I have to submit a form in court to end child support? When should I submit the form?

First, you should review any previous order from the court, including marital settlement agreement, order of dissolution or divorce, child support orders, etc, to determine whether the termination of child support is defined in such order. Second, if no specific order has been made, you may stop making child support payments which cover the period following the date your child attains 18 yrs of age.

I agree with Mr. Martin except that if you are in arrears, the arrearage will have to be paid.
