Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support Modification Case

I'm in the middle of a legal battle with case with my ex-wife regarding child support modification and I found out that because of lack of activity on her attorneys end the judge closed the case.

Can they re-open the case now that it has been closed? Can they try to go back and collect the child for the back month's in the amount that's was due after the modification?

Thank you

Re: Child support Modification Case

The case can be reopened.

Until the order that requires you to pay child support is modified by the Court, the original order stands. You owe the child support that is required under the child support order in effect right now.

Yes. They can still attempt to collect from you.
