Ex-husband keeping kid from mother

I had mt son until he was 3 and lost my job and asked his dad to keep him well now 6 years later he wont let me see him and he just let me talk on the phone with him for the first time in over a year. Anyway I was thinking of fighting for coustity and wanted to know if you thought I had a chance. I had a domestic battery charge and a child was present (not the child in queston) 2007 and thats all on mine and the dads backround he has possion of marijuana (6lbs) 2000 and possions of firearm in a vehicle 2007 ....So what do you think?
