Florida does not recognize common law marriage and has not for many years. You are not obligated to stay with the father of your child. It is apparent that he is continuing to bully you with false information.

I strongly suggest that you consult a qualified family attorney to discuss your rights and obligations. If you cannot afford an attorney, there is a low cost panel available through the Florida Bar or you can seek Legal Aid in your area. Do not let the father or any man push you around with false information.
