Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have a girlfriend who has recently been mailed a MOTION FOR CIVIL CONTEMPT/ENFORCEMENT document from her ex-husband. He is attempting to gain full custody of their son.

The respondent was ordered to reside within a ( 30 ) thirty miles of the petitioner, The respondent has moved out of the ( 30 ) miles and is currently not even in Polk County,

The respondent moved out of her house with her boyfriend in Davenport, FL. She was staying in the Talbot House then with various other people before moving in with the family she is currently with. She willingly gave our son, Ryne Michael Allen, to me because she was not able to care for him.

_X_ Enforcing or compelling compliance with the prior order or judgment

_X__ requiring the other party to seek employment

_X__ awarding other relief {explain} : ___ to stop petitioners child support payments to respondent.

She nor I understand exactly what this paper means and where we go from here. She needs a bilingual lawyer or needs direction. We would really appreciate your help or direction in this matter.

Her ex says she broke the rules by moving away and giving their son to you. Pretty simple.

The sick thing is that it doesn't appear that he wants his son from you, he just wants to stop paying child support to her. But I could be wrong about that.

I don't know if you'll find a bilingual lawyer in Polk County, but you'll easily find a bilingual family law attorney in nearby Tampa, so that's where you should look.
