my husband abandoned me 8 years ago. I would like to get a divorce. what do I need to do and how much will it cost. can I do this myself.

You can do this yourself if you know where he is. Go to self help department in your court house for forms.

If you know where he is and he agrees to the dissolution, no children and no real estate, you may be able to use a paralegal service. If you do not know where he is, or he does not agree or there are children or real estate involved you should see an attorney.
