Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My husband is filing for divorce in Florida. He sent me a packet for Simplified Dissolution of Marriage. Am I incorrect that these papers should already be filled out and I am just the respondent or am I suppose to fill out this entire package. He said that the courthouse told him we both have to fill out the packet separately. I live in North Carolina.

Under the rules for simplified divorce you both have to fill out the forms that are provided. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659.

In a Florida Simplified Dissolution, not only do you both have to fill out the forms, you both have to show up in court in Florida, which might not be best for you since you live in North Carolina. You may want to talk to your husband about an Uncontested Dissolution, where you can just do a couple of forms like a Waiver of Appearance and a Marital Settlement Agreement, and only he has to go to the hearing.
