Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I married in 2002 and have been separated from my wife for 12 years but not legally. I would like to file for a divorce here in st Lucia now. I heard somewhere that after 10 years of separation it is just a matter of filling out the paperwork and that we don't have to go to the courts. Is this correct?

If your wife consents to your divorce, one of you must appear for a 15 minute hearing during ex parte hours of the judge of the case, to verify the pleadings and have your order prepared for the Judge to sign.
