Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

The mother of my fianc' child sent him a picture of child support papers but the papers are of back child support that my fianc's father owes to his mother which is 42,000 for him and his sister. The mother of my fianc's child is saying that the court took that case and switched it over to my fianc's name and saying that he has to pay the 42,000 to her for their son. Is this possible?
