Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Pre-marital assets

Hi, I owned a condo before I got married. I understand that it is protected in the event of a divorce since I owned it prior to the marriage. We have moved and I would like to sell this condo and buy another in the town I now live in. If I do so and keep the proceeds and transation seperate from my husband will it still be considered a pre-marital asset? Oh, fyi I rent this condo out so no marital money is used to mantain it. Thanks for your help.

Re: Pre-marital assets

While technically the answer is yes I wouldn't take the chance of a later problem arising. Have an agreement signed by all parties setting forth your intentions.
