Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

RECERTIFICATION of a FOREIGN ADOPTION/ Birthdate Change?

I am trying to readopt (recertify) my 2 foreign adoptions and change their birthdates. My children have been in America 1yr and have an IR3 on their passports, so once I apply for a certificate of citizenship they will be citizens. I have documentation from the orphanage director that their birthdates are not accurate along with documentation from our pediatrician and the children's school director stating they are approx a year younger. I need to locate which forms to use to accomplish this. Any help will be appreciated.

All Florida Supreme Court approved adoption (and all other family matter) forms can be found at: http://www.flcourts.org/osca/divisions/family/bin/index.html#petsup

This is an excellent site and you can actually fill in and print out the forms online.

I caution you that adoption can be a complex legal matter and you should consult an experienced family lawyer regarding the specifics of your situation. A referral can be had from the Florida Bar at 800-342-8060.
