subpoena fo witness testimony

I am Pro se. Can you please tell me the process of serving subpoena for witness testimony.I have filled out Subpoena ( 1 paper stating to who and where to be). There is another part Proof of service. Do I need to file subpoena at the Court and let them to deliver it or just not file it and mail it myself, without the proof of service ?Can you please advice on correct process

You have to have the papers served. Either by the sherrif or a private process server. They will then provide you with a proof of service.
