Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

threatening ex wife

I have legal custody of my 16 year old daughter. 2 years ago she wanted to live with her mom so i paid her mom the child support payments, the same amount she was paying me....a verbal agreement, amount wise...My daughter has lived with me 14 years with hardly any child support from her mom that was court ordered. Now her mom is complaining about the amount of child support and threantening me that she is going to go to child svcs.

I believe she wont have a leg to stand on once the courts see she still owes me $$ and that I have been paying the amount we agreed on for the last two years without fail, and carried health insurance on my daughter all this time.

Am I thinking in the right direction or am I wrong about this???

Re: threatening ex wife

She is going to DCFS to get support? DOR?

She owes you back child support so it would be hard for her to claim that she's in court "with clean hands. That is, without any fault on her part. On the other hand you can't sit on your haunches and let it build up. The support belongs to the child and parents seem to like to play games with support monies. What a shame.

Maybe YOU should go after HER.
