Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Will a civil lawsuit affect my ex-wife financially?

Before I was married, I was involved in a civil lawsuit; I could not continue with my legal fees, so I threw in the towel, so consequently, I owe the other party more than $50K. Two years after this, I got married; however, the marriage only lasted four months and we were divorced. After 2 years of waiting, the other side now is claiming their $. Can my ex wife be approached and made to pay to the other side any $, even tho we weren't married at the time of the suit? She's deathly afraid that they'll be knocking on her door and demanding money. Thank you!
