Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

A 7 month pregnant woman who was put on bed rest for a high risk pregnancy was told by her boss she had to wait until the HR dept. approved her doctors note. She worked numerous hours and ended up giving birth to a still born due to not resting 1 week later. She was told she had to be at work for emergencies and to just sit in office.
