Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

causes for eviction

I've brought a suit to evict a party who leased a room from me for 6 months with trems of cash only monthly payments, to run from 10/01-4/02. Sice then he has tried to pay rent with checks from charities, such as local church, and United Way. I refused to accept, as the terms were very clear & he signed the agreement. Further, there is a late fee of $16 per day accrual, pro-rated. I'm pleading for emergency hearing as I have no rent from tenant since 12/20/01.Would you have any advice for me?Thanks

Re: causes for eviction

You are doing the right thing. Eviction action for possession. Once you get the judgment for possession you'll be able to get a writ of possession issued and the sheriff's office will assist you in ousting the bad tenant. Good luck.
