Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Harassment by the parents of a friend

The parents of a friend of mine are spreading blatant lies about me. This has been going on for about two and a half years now. I have just now decided to do something about it because I'm turning 18 in 2 weeks.

What are the steps I should take to solve this? I don't want to sue or anything. Is there any other way to legally solve it?

I have tried talking things out with them but they still have not stopped and I've had enough.

Thank you for any help.

Re: Harassment by the parents of a friend

Without suing -- you really can't do much. Your question does not indicate any of the details of what you believe is harassment, what they say or what you say about them so it is hard to comment further. If it is not actually causing you nany damage, just ignore them.

Re: Harassment by the parents of a friend

The best way other than sueing is to hire an attorney to send them a cease and desist letter threatening to sue them if they don't stop. If you would like to discuss such a letter with my office, please call.
