Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Non-Discloseure Agrrement

I work as a Web Designer and I have a non-discloure agreement. My question is, can I create a similar website as one of my company's client? Can my wife create the website? Can I work on a similar website as a freelancer, even though is not my company?

I know the non-disclosure agreement is pretty standard and it talked about internal office things but I want to be sure about clients.

The reason I ask the question is because my wife and a firend of hers had a very similar idea as one of my company's client and when they approached me to help them with the company I hesitated becuase of this agreement.

Without reading the agreement, no one can answer.

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

It is extremely hard to give any opinion on an agreement that an attorney has not reviewed. I suggest you consult a local attorney who can review the instrument and discuss exactly what your intentions are and then provide you with an opinion.
