Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

If an illegal was arrested for tresspassing, appeared before a judge two days later and ordered released on signature bond, but unable to leave due to immigration being called to pick them up...is that allowed? They are not a federal court, so I don't understand why they would get involved. Two other illegal's were also there for more serious arrests, but were released without being held for immigration. My boyfriend is still being held until seeing an immigration judge for deportation. That could take months and he was all ready to be released on a signature bond from the county judge.

If he is not hear legally, then he can be held for deportation. Why would you find this unusual?
