Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Car accident

My father died in a car accident. His was the only car involved. The accident took place in the state of North Carolina, but the insurance was in the state of Florida.

My question is does car insurance have a death benefit be it regular or accidental death.

Thank you for any help you can give me to this question.

Re: Car accident

If the policy was issued or delivered in Florida it should show Personal Injury Protection coverage which has a $5,000 death benefit. Ifit is a North Carolina policy I suggest you check with an N.C. attorney There should also be a return premium refund for the unexpired policy term. An experienced attorney should be consulted after any traffic death to examine the auto and the crash scene. Was there a defect in the car, brakes, air bag, seat belt, roadway, tire? Was his death caused by the impact, improper emergency personnel, hospital neglect etc.?
