Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Insurance Question in Florida

Recently I filled out an insurance application via my agent & signed it. After re-evaluating it a few days later, there were a series of questions regarding past criminal history. Most of the questions had a time frame (i.e. ''Have you had a felony conviction in the last ten years''). Most of these questions were filled out by the agent via interview. However one question of ''Have you ever been convicted of a DUI'' was not asked. There was no time frame reference. I mistakenly answered no; however I have 1 DUI of almost 20 years ago. What should I do?

Re: Insurance Question in Florida

Write a letter to the insurance company. send it by certified mail. tell them that you just re-read the questions and noticed that there was an error in one answer. tell them the truth. it probably won't make any difference. if you don't tell them, you may not have insurance if in fact there is a loss. don't make that mistake.
