Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Problem with having a child

I am married and both myself and my wife have insurance.

The hospital submitted under my insurance for my wife, and

her's should have been primary with mine secondary.

1 year later we were contacted by my insurance and they

took the money back, so we contacted all the doctors and

they re-submitted to my wifes insurance and got paid. One

doctor however did not get paid, and we had called them

every month until the deadline (which was 1 1/2 years I

believe). They are now sending us to a collection agency,

but everyone else was paid.

I am writing a letter today to state we are not paying this,

and give the details of the calls we made and that

everyone else was paid. Can I cite a law? Can you point

me to some reading material? Anything that might help or

some legal advice on what I should do would be great.

Thanks.

Re: Problem with having a child

You need to follow up with your insurance company to determine why they did not pay and whether that was justified under the terms of the policy.
