Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

I was the victim of vehicle theft, it turned out that the vehicle (bought from a private owner) was cloned. So when I filed the claim with my insurance company they denied the claim and turned my case over to Florida's Department of Insurance Fraud. I was contacted by the detective and was informed I'm under investigation and that he needed to get a statement from me. I wanted to know should I seek representation prior to sitting down with the detective. After dealing with the detective that worked for Geico I have to say that I am truly overwhelmed. When I informed the company that I was going to seek representation for denying my claim I was told in return that they would report me to the right authorities. I have done nothing wrong and now this investigation his hindering my chances in my current field which is law enforcement. Should I seek an attorney?
