Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I am a 1099 paid employee but am required to work set hours and paid a salary twice a month. My question is on some payperiods I end up working one to three days more and am only paid the salary. Is this legal? Also my employeer deducts from our pay if we miss any amount of time.

Chances are you are not really a 1099 employee. Check out my blog on this issue at www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com. Its not legal for them not to pay your overtime. its not legal for them to dock you if you are supposedly salaried. YOu need to report them to the U.S. Department of Labor or go to an employment law attorney that handles FLSA matters. My office could help if needed.
