Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Driving time to and from a jobsite.

We are working on a project about 1 hour away in another town.

We are required to be at the jobsite from 7:00 am to 3:30 PM.

Our company will not pay us over time pay for driving time to and from the job site even though it is over 40 hours.

When I asked about this, my office manager told me that they pay us our full hourly wage for driving time, but if they wanted to, they are only required to pay minimum wage to the person driving and nothing to the people riding to the job site. It does not matter if we are using company vehicles or our own or whether we leave from the shop or our home.

Is this type of pay correct or are we being a bad deal?
