Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Pay dispute

For the last 2 years, I've worked in the promotions department of a radio station with a team of two other men and another woman, all of which have been hired after me. Recently, it has been brought to my attention that everyone else is making $.50 more an hour than I am. After speaking to my my boss, HR director and former GM, I discovered that this was a raise that only went into effect for the staff members that started after me. This has been going on now for 7 months, and I think that I am back-owed the money. My staff accountant and HR director also believe it is unfair and have promised to speak to our new GM. I'm tired of being put-off by corporate politics. How can I force them to back-pay me the money that is rightfully mine, as we all have the same job position and description and all perform the same job duties. Thanks!

Re: Pay dispute

There's no magic cure for this, but stay on them! Be a pest and hopefully you will get what you believe you're entitled to.
