Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Payment of overtime/wages owed

I left my employer a month ago. I was required to work overtime on several occasions, and was never paid for it. I am also owed my last paycheck, mileage and 3 months worth of comissions. My former employer had told me she was going to mail me my check over two weeks ago. She refuses to receive me in her office, whenever I call I'm told she isn't there or is busy and she hasn't answer my last two e-mails. Is there something I can do, or somewhere I can go to, to get the money that is owed to me?

Re: Payment of overtime/wages owed

Employers are required by law to pay final paychecks to their former employees and they are required to do so on a timely basis. Talk to an attorney about this, the sooner the better.
