Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I am pregnant. My doctor advised no heavy lifting. I am still able to perform my job duties but employer is trying to force me to use FMLA. I can not afford to be without income so I refused FMLA. They fired me and I filed for unemployment. They advised unemployment I am out on maternity leave and have put my unemployment case under review. Am i eligible to collect?

You should be entitled to collect unemployment. If they contest it, get an employment law attorney to help you fight them. You may also be able to bring a claim for violation of Federal and state laws for pregnancy discrimination.
