Can an Employer cancel a wages payroll check after being deposited in my Bank account because I quit the job?

This is entirely illegal. In a case like this you may be entitled to recover the amount of your paycheck plus an equal amount as "liquidated damages." I handle cases like these on a regular basis. If you have not been paid your final paycheck, your employer has likely violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, which requires that you receive at least the minimum wage for all hours worked, plus time and a half for all hours worked over 40, so you should consult with an attorney to learn what specific rights you may have.

Direct deposit may be cancelled by an employer. However, any wages for hours worked are still required to be paid.
