Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Deny Access to guests

Am I, as a landlord, within my rights to prevent a person(s) with a criminal history from visiting a tenant? I have called the police as have the nieghbors. The police acknowledge my tenant has established a ''flop house'' but have no probale cause. The visitors are know prostitutes and drug users and come at all hours of the night. I have issued a Seven Day Notice for breach of peace and have now followed with A Notice of Termination. Now the activity is relentless. Do I have more options?

Re: Deny Access to guests

Unless there is some restriction in the lease, and I doubt thast there is, you cannot prevent someone from having a person in the house just because they have a criminal record. I doubt the provision would even be a permissable clause in the lease.
