Real Estate Taxes on a Commerical Lease

Can a landlord make a tenant pay real estate taxes that were there before they signed the lease?

I would think not, but it would be governed by the terms of the lease agreement. You need to meet with an attorney and have the lease reviewed. Unless the lease is lengthy, it should be able to be read and explained to you in a reasonable period of time. The attorney should be able to advise you of your legal rights and obligations.
