Is rent late if you have a returned check for insufficient funds

If your rent check, that was due on the 1st, has been returned because of insufficfient funds, on the 21st. Does that make the rent late? To where you would have to pay additional late fees? Or should you simply be able to pick up the check by paying the rent with cash or money order and pay a returned check fee

A bounced check is considered a late check.
