Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

''my rights, 1 or 2 year lease''

I live in a 300+ rental complex in the state of Florida. When i first moved in there was an option for a 1 or 2 year lease.

Now my lease is up, and management made up a new lease, not leaving me the option for 2 years. It was made up for 1 year only.

What rights do i have as a tenant? am i not entitled to renew for 2 years.

No. Tenants are not entitled as a matter of law to a two year lease unless the written contract says the tenant is specifically given that option.

As the consumer tenants have the right to negotiate for anything and whatever they want prior to signing the lease agreement. If the tenant and landlord cannot come to an agreement then the parties simply walk away. But, if the terms and conditions were not acceptable to you at the time the contract was signed then you should not have entered into the contract.
