Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Do I sue landlord, roommate or both for illegal eviction??Verbal Lease,

My friend was in a house, her boyfriend she lived with died landlord made her sign new lease, she couldn't afford.I moved in 11/07,she was behind in bills,I paid 4 the prev. mth that I was NOT there 2 keep her utilities on. On 5/22/08, she left me a message saying that the lease is up the end of May & the landlord said we HAD to move by the 1st. Then she says he has ALREADY signed a lease with someone for the place. It happens to be a friend of hers that rented it & he is ''letting'' her stay until she finds a place I had been gone for a week, when I came back, he was ALREADY staying there, sleeping in the livingroom and even though I was paid up until the end of May, I was NOT allowed to stay or sleep there, I didn't know the guy anyway, not good.

Also while I was gone, she had a friend of hers call me & tell me she already had a new roommate & if my things were not out by the end of the month they were going to pack my things 4 me & put them in storage. Also, the last four months I was there, she had a new boyfriend that stayed there 24/7. ate, slept, showered cooked. It was like having a 2nd roommate, only I was still paying 1/2 when I should have paid 1/3.Now she wants me to pay her for the last mth or 2 of bills, 1/2 not 1/3

The fact that she had someone living there would not be a breach. Your question does not indicate what the lease agreement was. The payment for when you were not there was likely a gift. I would not spend the time or effort to pursue this. Learn from it.
