Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Hi. I was in an atv accident in dec where the handle bars caused a large flap avulsion and laceration to my inner thigh. I later found out that the handle bars had "carved" a pocket or pouch out towards my upper inner thigh There was debri and dirt inside wound area and a half bottle of saline was poured on the area and 32 staples were used to close up wound. There were no tests done to see if more injury was present other than an x ray and one week later my skin turned black and a large hematoma formed on the back of my leg. The odor was horrible. Negligence?

Also, I have 4 surgeries since that date that pertain to my wound area. I developed a bad staph infection during this process. I had reconstructive surgery where they also added a small skin graft. The graft didn't take and was smelly and oozing green fluid 5 days prior to surgery. I complained of leg swelling. The surgery was to remove the skin graft and close it up. The day before surgery when i went to pre op for lab work....no labs were drawn. The next day for surgery my conditions had worsened and my foot and leg now looked like "elephant foot" The doctors performed surgery anyway. Out of surgery and within the next 8 hours the pain seemed to worsen it felt like severe burning. Within 36 hours the wound busted open (surgical glue was used) and I was in a fight to keep my leg. I spent a little over a week in the hospital where I received Flagyl, Levaquin, and Vanco. The infection was tremendous. Now I am back at square one packing a wound wet dry. Negligence?
