Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Hospital Visit

I recently was having chest and left arm pains for a couple of days. I went to Solantic, a mini practice, they did a MRI on me and said they did not like the readings. They put me in an ambulance and sent me to the emergency room at the local hospital. After having more tests on me they said nothing was wrong with me. I have no insurance and now have many bills to pay. Have been unemployed for 5 months. Do I have any recourse? Thank you.

Re: Hospital Visit

No. Not really. You always could have refused treatment, but it was smart -- given your symptoms -- to get checked out. The providers typically will work with you and reduce their bills and accept payments over time.
