Legal Question in Military Law in Florida

Discharge

I received an Under Honorable Conditions Discharge (General) in the Air Force due to a pattern of misconduct. I had a lot of financial problems towards the end. I was young and not mature, 25 at the time of discharge. I am a changed person now with a great family and this is still haunting me and preventing me from obtaining and law enforcement or emergency careers and don't know how to fix it. I look back and I am ashamed. I was young and didn't know what I was thinking. I am now 38 years old and would like to upgrade my discharge . Any advice on what I need to do?

Re: Discharge

In order to appeal or recharacterize a former personnel's discharge status, an appeal needs to be made to either the service branch's discharge review board or board for correction of military records depending on various factors; however, I would need to know more details to better assess the situation.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to set up an initial consultation, free of charge. If we set up an appointment, I'd be happy to initiate the call in order to save you in long distance charges.
