Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

accident on private school property

my son had a complete ACL tear, grafting a new tendon from another site in his leg. A repaired inner miniscus. He had been on crutches for almost 3 months, and longer still. He had to medically withdraw from college, can't work, my husband died 3 days after the accident. There is no income and I'm on cobra for 3 years. How can I be sure all of his expenses will be covered after my health insurance pays. What about a liability limit the schools insurance places. Can he recoup school and loss of work and some form of release in case of preexisting condition problems with a future new insurance? He does not attend school at the place of accident.

Re: accident on private school property

Whether you son would have a claim would depend on the facts and circumstances of how he was injured. Your post makes no mention of how he got hurt. Absent some negligence, the school would not be liable for the consequences of the injury.
