Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

car accident

I let my daughter use my car and she let someone clean the car and it was possibly involved in a hit/run with injuries and then abandoned. As the owner of the vehicle can I be held liable for the accident? And will my insurance cover the damage to the vehicles and injuries involved. Can I be sued directly because of being the owner of vehicle?

Re: car accident

You can be liable depending if the person driving the car had permission to drive.

YOu need to check with your insurance company in terms of coverages are afforded. Hopefully you have greater then the state minimum and have bodily injury coverage. If the car was stolen that would need to be reported as well.

I would recommend you consult with a lawyer.
