Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

My car was towed. At the time of the car being towed it was in my fathers name. My father then signed the car over to me (gifted), and mailed it to me overnight Fedex. I went to pick up the car, and they would not release it to me because I am not the "registered" owner. But the car is legally mine, and they will not release it to me.

Are they in violation of the law? Do I have a case?

Title in your name but not registered yet. You own car. Have them call their lawyer before you sue them to get correct answer.

So go get the title transfered and the car registered.
