Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

dog bite

my do went with me in the car.when i got home there was some one in the hoouse the dog didnt know..he bit them.....

animal control said everything was legal so no charges....

can the person still sue....do i need a lawyer......should i contact my insurance or should i wait to see what happens next

You may have medical payments coverage on your homeowners insurance policy or you may have an animal exclusion on your policy. Read it to find out or talk to your insurance agent. You say the dog didn't know him but was he a burglar or an invited guest?

You must notify your insurance company immediately or they will disclaim coverage. If you are sued for an amount in excess of your coverage retain a private attorney to monitor the matter to see you are being protected .
