Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

drunk, a person calls for a cab for a ride home. Once a passenger, they drive off, but shortly thereafter the cab pulls over, pulls the passed out passenger out of the cab and leaves them on the side of the road. Other people notice what has taken place and call 911 - they arrive and take person to hospital. What liabilty if any does the cab company driver have, and are they at wrong for not notifying 911 themselves rather than leaving customer at roadside/passed out ? This would be in the state of Florida.

The cab company may be liable if they placed this person at risk for personal injury, like being run over by a bus, AND the drunk was injured. If the drunk wasn't injured as a result of the cab company's negligence, then what are his damages? Was the cab company wrong? Yes.
