Firearm misfires

Recently my husband was injured by a Ruger .22 cal. target pistol that we have owned for apprx. 17 yrs.. While loading a clip into the pistol (in the same manner, No veriation as always),he put in the clip in, released the slide, which chambers a round and the gun went off shooting him in the right ankle at point blank range.Have there been any similar instences where the injured person brought suit against the gun manufacturer?

Re: Firearm misfires

There have been several cases filed against gun manufacturers for product liability involving defective design or other problems that relate to safety issues similar to the issues that may be involved in your husband's case. Your husband may have a viable claim worth investigating. If you are interested in a consultation regarding the matter, please call my office at 305-424-0236. Have a nice weekend.
