It was my birthday and my entire family and friends went to the Cheescake Factory in Miami and after 3 hours of waiting we were finally sat. After anothe rhour we got our food and on the very first bite I bit what I found out from the manager was a piece of a broken plate which cracked my tooth. I did a root canal,crown and a bridge. My expenses out of pocket was 2,775. They offered 5,500. Should I get a lawyer. I think I deserve more for my pain and suffering, missed days of work and now I get scared to eat out.

$5000 now without a lawyer is the same as $7500 now with a lawyer and probably more like $10,000 a year from now if you hire a lawyer and start a lawsuit. Early settlement avoids costs.
If you can detail lost work they may pay you more, but from what you have posted, this sounds like itr is in the range of fair -- particularly since you can avopid the time, expense and hassle of a lawyer, litigation costs, and a lawsuit altogether.

While the offer is low, the case does not warrant litigation. Have an attorney try to negotiate a better settlement.

Many lawyers will only charge a fee out of the mount over $5,500.00, so you would have nothing to lose there.
