Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

My wife lost her job in a small insurance agency when her boss (the owner) committed suicide by shooting himself. He did it in the ladies room during the night and my wife found him the next morning. Since then, she has been unable to sleep and absolutely cannot eat anything but an occasional bite or 2. She is now seeing a counselor for PTSD, but is an emotional and physical shell.

Can she sue the owner's estate for damages (emotional and/or physical). Also, can I as her husband, sue for damages because this is affecting us as a couple.
